Landscape and portrait painter Charles Allen Hulbert was born in MacKinaw Island, Michigan. He studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and at the Artist-Artisan Institute in New York City. He lived and exhibited in Massachusetts and New York and died in 1939.
