FRANK HECTOR TOMPKINS

Frank Tompkins was born in Newark, New Jersey, but lived mainly in Brooklyn, New York, where he studied with Henri, Sloan, K.H. Miller, and M. Weber. Tompkins was also a member of the Society of Independent Artists, which held non-competitive exhibitions in New York every year from 1917 until 1944.
