GEORGE WAINWRIGHT HARVEY
1855-1930Painter and etcher George Wainwright Harvey was born in East Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1855. He was largely self-taught but studied with W.H. Weisman and also in Philadelphia and in Holland. Influenced by the Hague School of painters, he was known for his landscapes of Cape Ann, MA. He was member of the Boston Art Club, where he exhibited. He died in 1930.
