HARRY MUIR KURTZWORTH
1887-1947?Harry Muir Kurtzworth was born in Detroit in 1887 and became an art director, painter, designer, writer, educator, lecturer, and drawing specialist. He studied in Detroit, New York, Pennsylvania, and India. Among the many positions he held throughout his life were director of the Los Angeles Art Association, associate director of the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, and director of the American Art Society. He lectured on Industrial Design, Mural Painting, and Art in Industry. His publications included Genius, Talent or Mediocrity, Industrial Art a National Asset, and Motion Picture Handbook.
