LEROY IRELAND
1889-1970Leroy Ireland was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1889. Ireland attended the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied under W.M. Chase and D. Garber. After graduating from the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts Ireland moved to New York City and worked with E. Carlsen. Leroy Ireland died in 1970. He is known primarily for his still-life paintings.
