POUCETTE

French, 1935-2006

Painter and writer, Poucette, was born on November 19th, 1935 in Paris. In 1958 he illustrated the “Personal Letters of Montesquieu” in ten volumes. In 1959-1960 he illustrated the twenty-four volumes of Mardus’ translation of “The Thousand and One Nights”. His work was exhibited in Paris, London, and the United States during the 1950s and 1960s. In the 1960s Poucette was commissioned by several patrons to produce large murals. He continued to show his paintings internationally as well.
