SAMUEL W. GRIGGS

Landscape painter and architect Samuel W. Griggs was born in 1827. He was active in Boston c. 1848-98. His earliest datable painting of a White Mountain scene is 1858. He exhibited frequently at the Boston Athenaeum and the Boston Art Club and died in 1898.
