WALTER KRAWIEC
1889-1982Painter, illustrator, and cartoonist Walter Krawiec was born in Poland in 1889. He moved to the United States and settled in Chicago, where he joined the Chicago Gallery Association and exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago. He was the illustrator of First Cardinal of the West by P.R. Martin, which was published in 1934. He was also a cartoonist for the Polish Daily News. He died in 1982. Some of his artworks are owned by the City of Chicago.
