WILSON HENRY IRVINE
1869-1936Wilson Irvine was a landscape painter who was born in Illinois and lived and worked in Lyme, Connecticut. Although he studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, he was mostly self-taught. He was an Associate of the National Academy of Design, and also belonged to the Lyme Art Association, the Chicago Society of Artists, the Chicago Watercolor Club, and the National Arts Club. Irvine’s work has been exhibited at the Lyme Historical Society, the Art Institute of Chicago, the National Arts Club, the Phoenix Art Museum, the Union League Club, and the Friends of American Art.
