Paul Nonnast (1918-1993)
Magazine illustrator, teacher, and photographer Paul Nonnast was born in 1918 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Nonnast specialized in realistic representations of American frontier and Native American life. He Studied at the Philadelphia Museum School of Art and was a member of the Society of Illustrators. He taught illustration at the Moore Institute of Art from 1943-1946. Nonnast’s work was published in the Saturday Evening Post among other popular magazines.
